HAVEN works with the resources in our local communities to offer the best services to our clients. Our short-term emergency shelter helps to provide women, trans-women and their children with a safe and supportive environment to heal from abuse and to rebuild their lives.

The shelter program provides:

  • Counseling
  • Housing assistance
  • Employment assistance
  • Higher education assistance
  • Short and long-term financial planning
  • Life skills

HAVEN serves Rockingham and Strafford counties, located on the traditional ancestral homeland of Pentucket, Pennacook, Abenaki and Wabanaki Peoples of past and present who were displaced through the 1713 Treaty of Portsmouth.
