In no other time in recent history has the national conversation been as focused on domestic violence and sexual assault as it is today. We are at a critical junction regarding the need for education, prevention and awareness here locally in New Hampshire, as well as across the United States and around the globe.
One of the biggest barriers for survivors is not knowing help is available. The goal of HAVEN Outreach is to connect with survivors, and their loved ones, to get support and information, with other professionals (like law enforcement, mental health counselors, and medical folks) so they can get guidance and training on helping survivors they encounter, and with the larger community of individuals who may want to share their time, talents, and voice to make a difference with HAVEN as volunteers here.
HAVEN works tirelessly to engage our community through:
- Our presence at festivals, health and wellness fairs, and other community-wide events and volunteer fairs/ open houses. We offer informational materials, swag, and fun activities for kids to take home!
- Outreach presentations about our mission and services at businesses, faith communities, clubs, and other groups.
- Distribution of our HAVEN materials (flyers, brochures, hotline cards) and hotline stickers at restaurants, bars, hair and nail salons, libraries, schools, police departments, and more throughout Southeastern NH.
